Say what u want about the youngin but he is actually smart and when he isnt in the studio or doing concerts, hes with his daughter 24 7 :ld:

As in hes with that baby every single day, spending quality time with her and taking her to the park, zoo and toy store :o:

Hes doing more for his daughter than these millionaire bball players with 2 or 3 kids that yall worship on here :manny:

I hope so, also I'm assuming all that material shyt is just for show. If he's saving his money, then props to him. I can't knock Chop; Katie(even though she didn't get on yet), DGainez for their ambition, they're actually putting in work.

Chief Keef is a successful rap artist. He does have a recording contract and fans. But for some reason, I'm not proud of his success. I'm angered and embarrassed by it. I'm upset that other children will emulate him because they foolishly believe that he represents the blueprint to success. This is a culture that extends way beyond Chief Keef, but he happens to be the face of it. It just deeply saddens me.

I see what you mean but I don't see why someone should be angered by another person's success. Maybe worried about it but no reason to get mad.

I'm not trying to make this a personal tirade against Chief Keef because it's really not. He contributes to the problem, but he isn't the cause of it and it didn't originate from him.

So let me get this right. Your logic is:

It doesn't matter if he's always flashing guns, talking about killing people, and advocating a desstructive culture. The fact that he takes care of his kid makes him an outstanding individual?

I never said it makes him an outstanding individual :whoa:

I will be lying if I said I dont listen to his music :guilty:

But as long as the money hes making is going straight to his daughter and her well being, I have no problems with the man :manny:

When u grow up like Keef, u can't help BUT be a victim of ur circumstances.

I don't personally have a problem with Chief Keef. I've never met him nor spoke to him. All I know about him is from his music and his videos.

You could definitely look at it and say "he's making his money." I can't disagree with that. Hip Hop is a form of entertainment, and he has a fan base which cements his relevance.

I'm more disappointed with the culture that this music represents. But then again I'm from a different age demographic. Hip hop has always had it's gangster rap. But like I said, my age plays a significant role in my opinion because I'm quite sure my parents said the same thing about the music I listened to and the artist's I was a fan of. Now that I'm older and wiser, I'm grateful that I wasn't heavily influenced by the music I listened to. The music is a reflection of the culture, and it is the glorification of the culture that scares me, because we always want our kids to do better, and it seems like it's getting worse.

Real talk, does this guy make his own beats? Seems like that's the only appeal of his music. This guy seems like he serendipitously fell into rap not because of lyrical talent, but because of his thug image--like a hip hop version of Sid Vicious. This isn't gonna last very long.
