Always been fascinated by this. To this day, you still can't live in Chernobyl because of the radiation level...though I have a Russian friend that claims there are a handful of people there that won't leave. They should consider doing one on the most recent disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi plant in Japan. They still haven't contained that....and some studies show that much of the aquatic life in the Pacific is being affected by the radiation from that plant.
