Naroditsky put the charlotte chess club on the map. Genuinely a great soul for the few moments I got to interact with him.
Chess really is life and death for some people. Its not that serious. Ive noticed some of these chess grandmasters and enthusiasts arent wrap too tight mentally.
All top level chess players are on the spectrum in some form and have dedicated their lives to chess since they were able to string a sentence together. Outside of a handful of Russian players, nobody thought Naroditsky was a cheater. He just cared about his reputation that much that it drove him to an early grave unfortunately.

Real talk. The best way to play chess is against somebody in person that knows how to play. That reminds me, I have to buy one of those GOOD digital clocks at some point. You never played chess until you blitz it on the clock. That pressure to make you think. I havent played except on the phone and LOST to the CPU or as they now call it AI. 
They say we never leave high school mentally. With that said,
Ive always wanted a real digital legit clock to play chess with for like over 20 years. That and getting a turntable coffin and a stand. I will get that one too but I am making some changes in my life coming up. Im getting this. I always liked those tap buttons and want to get one of those clocks. I got my chess sets in my closet still. Playing chess in person is better than online.

I think im going to get back into chess. Might see me playing in Washington Square park. But Im about to get back into this shyt. Get a USCF membership like when I did in high school. I was in the chess club for a year before I bounced.
