3-4 IMO
I would cut down the amount of rest time in between to 30 seconds to 1 minute as well.
Does 3-4 sets include warm up sets?

I wouldn't include them that way. 3-4 sets not including warm-ups.Does 3-4 sets include warm up sets?
CTKPHATSome brehs love low reps some brehs love high
I said fukk it and do both. Mondays I load up the barbell and flat bench a weight I can't do more than 5 reps on.... Thursdays I grab dumbbells and bang out sets of 12
I do 3 sets of everything
Only accessory work I do for chest is the pec fly machine and the plate loaded dip machine... 8-10 reps on those
I havent done incline bench in months and my upper chest is meaty as fukk... I dont believe in incline or decline bench
But yea with the two rep ranges I'm getting the best of both worlds... the heavy lifting gives me the explosiveness on light press, the quick light bench gives me the endurance on heavy press. I do the same thing for rows and squats... that + food = a lot of gains
Thanks for the feedback everyone
If I switch to 8-12 reps, how many sets should I be doing?
For example, if I want to do 3 exercises
Flat bench press,
Incline DB press
Chest flys on a flat bench
All with 8-12 reps. How many sets should I do for each exercise before it becomes overdoing it?
Sometimes brute force works. Put aside fancy routines. It works for calf development as well. Of course there will be a limit but some body parts can be effectively targeted with a lots of reps.I really started to see a difference in my chest when I started doing mad pushups every day, like 200
