There is no east anything in Chicago. The lake is literally east. You were probably on the Southside, because Downtown is the middle point of the North, South and West sides.

Right it is the Southside. They are just saying they live nearer the lake, but they are letting you know that it is still the Southside. The Nortside and Southside are really large areas. The Westside is very small. There is no Eastside.

Right. I used to live on Yates which is further EAST than Stoney Island, but that is definitely the Southside.

All the homicides I hear about happen in the Southside. All these rappers Chief Keef, Lil Reese, Durk, King Von, FBG Duck all came from Southside.

Austin & Garfield park are 2 of the most violent neighborhoods in Chicago,both out west. Especially Austin if those cats weren’t “rappers” they’d just be gangbangin nikkas(dead or alive)nobody outside fam & friends ever heard of
