Eastside the best side
Used to live on the east for a portion of my youth, great grandma had a crib over there
There is no east anything in Chicago. The lake is literally east. You were probably on the Southside, because Downtown is the middle point of the North, South and West sides.
Some people say that (no east) which is technically true, but the folks that live over there consider themselves separate from the south side, with its own distinct neighborhoods
You stated that there were no nice areas on the Westside. I pointed out some nice areas on the Westside, but that didn't satisfy you. So now you asking me to point out specific neighborhoods. I moved away from the Westside 30 years ago and I moved completely out of Chicago 6 or 7 years ago, so i don't know what neighborhoods are good or bad anymore. However a lot of those Soutside neighborhoods the you mentioned have went to shyt which is why so many people moved into the South suburbs and Indiana.
What south side neighborhoods went to shyt ??
There’s no beef between Southside and Westside (this ain’t like H town north vs southside) it’s more shyt talking, odds say you probably have family on both sides, but usually speaking, if you lived on one side you didn’t go to the other side, not out of fear, though some areas could get rough,(though that had more to do with gang affiliation) it was more so you had no reason to, you were not taking that ride or train/bus, all the way to the other side of town if you ain’t have to. And nikkas knew where you really from by your high school unless you went to a private joint. nikka name Currie, Marshall King, proviso you was an out west nikka, you name Bogan, Fenger, Morgan park etc you was out south
On the Southside we had Curt’s, Harold’s, moo and oink, Pete’s Produce, jewel, a few malls and movie theaters etc.
