Black people in Chicago have never been like that. People can go anywhere they want whenever they want. Southsiders can go to Westside and Westsiders can go to the Southside anytime they want. Black people in Chicago were never territorial like that because back in the day when Black people first came to Chicago from the South they all stayed on the Southside. So the people that moved to the Westside back in the day were from the Southside. The big rivalary was in high school basketball, because westside and southside schools always seemed to meet for the city championship.
