Yea. Its almost like an isolated suburb because the University of Chicago owns damn near the whole neighborhood and they refuse to lease to anyone because they want to keep that "neighborhood feel". Its more neighborhood, expensive ass grocery stores then big chain stores. That may change though with all the hotels and entertainment venues they are developing. Its cool though. I'm extra close to jewels on 35th and best buy/target on Roosevelt

I can't lie, the new condos they building on the low end look on the inside. My girl and her mama live in a brand new 2br duplex, gotta be like 1400 sq ft, new appliances, granite countertops, all dat. But....it's the low end

The implication that Lakeview is better than Kenwood is exactly why the city is segregated. Yeah sure, it's easy for nikkaz to go koon it up for some chicken in Wrigleyville, but how many white people do you see around 87th and Stony Island or Laramie and Madison? You sound stupid right now.

This. Thats the exact reason why guys like Nigerian and whites move into dumps of a building where mentally unstable nutjobs set fires unto their buidlings. But...but... but its in Lakeview! They learn soon enough though when they get tired of spending crazy amount of rent in some crappy building just because of location.

Do you know how long lake michigan stretches for? There are plenty of spots in Hyde Park and South Shore for a lot less money that have a far less obstructed view than that.

I personally enjoy a full unobstructed view from Navy Pier to Gary from my condo
