@Buckeye Fever I usually do at least 5 miles, so I be goin thru all kinda hoods. sometimes in the north suburbs by the gig. sometimes west suburbs by my parents. sometimes west side by my sister crib, sometimes I hit the lakefrong. but a lot of time on the southside. lately I been running up and down the U of Chicago campus blocks. even at night time, thats an area thats really well lit with lots of people and activity. plus with all those foreign nerds there, they even keep security just standing on a lot of those corners on ellis, greenwood and university between 55th and 61st street

Our last mayor(Daley) didnt hire enough cops to replace all the retiring ones. Plus, our crime/gang situation is much more longstanding/complex then NY and LA. I saw on the news they just elevated 17 new homocide detectives for the first time in 5 years. We are slowly just now getting around to putting more cops on the streets. And the recession is not over. Its not as bad but its not over
