Don't blame the cops, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said outside police headquarters Tuesday.
"It's not a police issue, it's a society issue,"
Chicago police have a 25% clearance rate in homicides.![]()
It's absolutely a policing issue
Chicago police have a 25% clearance rate in homicides.
That is fukkin' abysmal. That means 75% of homicides are not being solved. That means if 400 people are killed in Chicago. 300 killers are not being caught. So shockingly.. they keep killing.
Meanwhile Chicago Police keep saying it's just a few thousand criminals causing all the mayhem. And they know who they are.Damn. That's terrible.

Chicago police are USELESS. They keep babbling about they know who are doing all the shootings yet can't solve or prevent anything.
It's a world class city but the police are definitely not on a world class level.
Chicago gets the headlines but St.Louis is still the most dangerous city in the country per capita
SMH
I remember how disappointed in myself when I was looking through the list of August, and hoping that it wasn't mostly black people dying. There's gotta be a bigger issue here.
It can't just be bad policing or bad gangs.
Something is driving these people into these conditions where they're committing this violence.
