:mjlol:

Entire city shuts down after 7pm expect a couple blocks

Also completely segregated city

NYC $1 slice >>> whatever pizza you’ll find in Chicago

I realized from the comments that this CAN'T be a serious thread lol. Let's not even mention Manhattan. Chicago is not even better than Downtown Brooklyn :mjlol:

Chicago is not even better than Long Island City, Queens

Bruh, I got love for NY but Chicago is actually CLEAN.

If you don't give AF about that than I guess NY gives it a run for its money.

I can tell by this post, you haven't been to Long Island City

Usually when people say they "been to NYC" they just went to 34th and 42nd Street, and rode the subway once

I've been in every NYC burrough (+ westchester) except staten island. I find it very hard to navigate because the streets (outside of manhattan) are not on a grid system like here, where you can essentially drive blindfolded.

also, not having alleys. that shyt is 🤮

Downtown Chicago is gorgeous. It’s as if they saw the mistakes NYC made in building the city.

This makes my point though :francis::pachaha:

Alot of tourists only venture mostly in the grid like areas of Manhattan. Like 23rd street to about 50th street. They roam mostly on that area. Anything outside of that is "hard to navigate" for whatever reason lol. So when they say "Yeah I been to NYC" this is the areas they only venture the most. You've "been" to the 5 boroughs but not really lol

Whenever I ask someone who said they visited NYC, I ask them if they ever visited Downtown Brooklyn, Jamaica Queens, Upper East/West Side or Long Island City, they give me this :dwillhuh: look lol

It’s an old city going back to the 1600s. Chicago is called the second city for a reason

I'm going to Chicago (and Detroit) in mid April. Hopefully it's warm by then.
Someone I know irl told me Chicago has the best skyline and best downtown in the country. It's subjective but I get what best skyline means, no one ever offers any specifics about what makes Chicago downtown the GOAT though. Is it the amenities and attractions down there, walkability, the look of the buildings?
