What's your favorite part of DC, is it by U street or more downtown?

I want to visit. My top 5, though, just based on combination of fun/chilliing (Excluding NYC, cause I work here)
1) Tokyo
2) DC
3) Vegas
4) LA
5) Paris
Mainly just my experience of walking around during the day, partying at night (or the day, in the case of Vegas and DC) and then just overall vibe. I might put Seoul on that list, I didn't get a chance to spend more than a day there

Lower Manhattan? I think I'd put Midtown above lower Manhattan, though I think its more chill down there.

I've always looked at DC and San Francisco as sister cities, with both being modeled on various places in Europe.
San Francisco has a lot in common with Lisbon. And DC was modeled on Paris and Rome.
