My Mom always talks about a game of a South Oak Cliff player breaking his neck in the Cotton Bowl back in the late 70's.

these high schools regardless of cost really need to have doctors giving kids full exams from xrays to blood work to detect what's going on in these young kids bodies

That sucks. But it's an obvious and inherent risk so I feel nothing when it happens. If he didn't want to die from football he should have just played another sport.

7 out of millions of kids playing football is not a bad statistic brehs. Obviously one life is too many but every year they got kids dying from cross country running but I don't see no one calling for the downfall of cross country

RIP to youngin. They need to start evaluating HS football coaches. Heard that some of the drills the football team( at my high school) ran involved helmet to helmet collisions. No real form of tackling was ever taught and you wouldn't be looked at wrong for laying out your teammate. I get it football is a rough sport but no sport is worth dying over. I think these coaches are to blame along with officiating crews in HS football who have no idea what they're doing.
