The city is corrupt as fukk and failing most people, and the black areas bare the brunt of it. The past 3 months I've been hearing about Teacher strikes because I work
with someone who substitutes...these folks don't know. School is safer than home in a lot of places. This shyt is madness, man, and it's only going to get worse.
Folks leaving chicago due to costs, black folks who finally get that bread leave (which they should, fukk what everybody else saying), but the resources left dwindle.

It is a legit choice to turn what little grocery money one has into a pistol, and use that pistol to get what you want. The hope ain't out here, and people keep missing the point of why.

It's just how things are here. Growing up in West Englewood made me who I am but I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Went there to visit my fam last week and a Mexican family was having a fukking party Thing is, they bought the house cheap and renovated it. That's why I've said in the Chicago thread that it's gonna be interesting to see how the demographics shift in that area within the next 10 years because of how many black folks are leaving.

Becoming a man made me realize that the city is a financial black hole, and since most of my jobs have been in the suburbs anyway, I should get the hell out before I become a statistic.

Our own aldermen and reverends are selling us out. Rauner is cutting programs for the poor and doing the "What do you want me to do? We're in massive debt " talk. Sadly if you're a black man in Chicago, you've gotta go to the burbs for decent work.
