Crazy to me that people think putting the military into a city would improve anything. That plan worked incredibly in Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya/Syria. Never been to Chicago but any city that has these issues needs to find a way to empower the people in those areas. The majority of people in poor areas have nothing to do with gangs or bullshyt.

Not people who have never stepped foot in the hood. And 95% of males from these areas claim gangs. PERIOD . They start brainwashing people here as kids

Sh-t is sad seeing sh-t like this but...These areas in Chicago have always been bad tho.. its just now the media is using it as hot spot to focus on. Chicago is the "it" city they have a microscope under to report about crimes, etc. They switch major cities every decade or so...NY, LA, NO, ATL . etc Now it's Chicago's turn.. even tho they've had a gang culture longer that predates most other citiies in the US.

They don't give a sh-t about these communities but white ppl/outsiders eat this sh-t up.

That 95% number seems really high. I worked with a lot of people in the Air Force that came from southside Chicago and none of them were in gangs before...The people I knew from Cali/Atlanta in the Air Force claimed some sort of gang quite a few times though.

I grew up on the west side of the city. and growing up 95% claimed gangs in the hood areas, and even if you didn't if you lived in a certain block. People from other hoods affiliate you with your area anyway. People stop claiming as they grow up.

Only been to the airport there so like you said...I can't speak on how it really is. I just know the dudes that I worked with and they were straight up dudes that weren't into doing dumb ish. Live in a poor area here in Titusville, Fl currently and surrounded by people on food stamps/unemployment. The main thing everybody here wants is something to do to make money...From what I've seen here and knowing about other areas. The problems stem from no opportunities. That shyt will not be broadcasted on any news channel though...
