:mjlol: One is running away from forced bondage, the other is putting a gun on someone.

...and yes, if my kid was robbing folk and I found out, either they're turning themselves in, or I'm turning them in. No seed of mine is robbing folk and getting away with it. I don't enable violent criminals. :yeshrug:

Accountability is important and you should face the consequences of your actions. But the American justice system is draconian when it comes to minorities. The 'consequence' we often face is too much and doesn't fit the crime. Best to discipline your children in-house than drag them to the white cops who won't have any sympathy or understanding.

A similar thing happened during the George Floyd protest where a kid smashed a police car. His step-father reported him to the police and now he's going to serve an extensive prison sentence. Of course his parents are full of regret and wish they had never reported it.

Right I remember during the Baltimore Freddie Gray protests when a black mom slapped up her black son on television and the white media was celebrating her.

Mom should have disciplined him on her own, even moved him across the country if she had to. While I am all for accountability, that incident will be a stain on his record and it might affect him later in life.

something similar happen to my moms friends son, it was a victimless crime but still the kid was on a plane in no time heading to a rehabilitation center in Somalia. Came back 2 years later as a responsible young man. Sometimes drastic moves work

We need to stop excusing criminals in our community and we need to push for more accountability.
i don't agree we should coddle them and give em lots of hugs and afterschool programs to make them feel better and not want to thug it harder. :troll:

:scusthov:but our daughters hoin' is an abomination and must be stopped with force if necessary.10-15 yrs hard labour so she appreciates a work ethic.
