CSU is terrible all around. It's high school 1.5.

UIC is okay if you're doing pre-med and maybe accounting or some other technical major where school prestige and reputation doesn't matter. Otherwise, it's a no brand second tier state school. There are no good public schools in Chicago. If you need to go to a public school, go to UIllinois in Champaign and major in engineering, finance, or accounting.
