Rose Butler Mirotic and even Noah are still fairly young. So no they shouldnt blow it up just to start all over. When the Cavs are the only team that i see as a real threat to them in the East. All they need to do is change the offense up a little and hope the team has a good luck streak coming as far as injuries are concerned. This is the first time they have had a healthy Rose in 3 years. So it's not like they have had the team at their full potential to see what they can do.
Derrick rose isn't the same player, he's healthy sure but he's no longer the dominant guard he once was. Only promising player they have is butler who's a good allstar caliber player. Maybe they can get someone like love

Rose
Butler
Noah
Gasol

that's more than enough to have win - you can disagree all you want.
Yeah I should've known you weren't going to provide proper context by using a player selection vote that's based off popularity for players that are either aging, have regressed, don't have a clean bill of health or a mixture of all three.

Talent is not JUST talent.

Rose is a shell of his former self - he only played half a season, and for that half a season he was still finding his feet - trying to rekindle whatever game he could after not playing basically since 2011. Noah's degenerative osteoarthritic knee issues and laundry list of other health problems had him looking Roy Hibbert's ugly sister on the offensive side of the ball. And although Gasol had an impressive regular season, his age eventually caught up with him; playing 22 mins in Game 3 before succumbing to a hamstring injury, missing Game 4 and Game 5 and only playing 24 mins of Game 6 while still struggling with the injury.

That talent is not enough to win.

When did the Spurs win while going through similar problems, with a bench of fringe NBA players and role players that failed to fulfill their roles?

so cavs backup PG > 1/2 year Rose

Gasol/Noah couldn't out rebound TT or at least box him out?

How about why Thibs had those guys playing all those extra minutes instead of playing the bench. POP doesn't leave Duncan in for 40 mpg, again you're ignoring the poor job Thibs did. What caught up with everyone is the ridiculous game and bench management Thibs had. You can't play what if's, but I know for a fact that every season we have 1 or 2 of our keys guys down by playoff time..why? Because Thibs! Shyt isn't just bad luck , it's a trend under Thibs

I saw the thread title and spit out my cough syrup :heh:

The Bulls are likely stuck with Rose for another year, after that he'll likely retire :flabbynsick:

No team is trading this version of Rose with that contract. No one wants to handle his injury issues.

He isn't but it's easy to see that he can get near that level again if he has a run of good health starting now. He struggled this year and still got like 17-18 a game. No doubt he can at least get to a 20 and 6 level again. All he needs to do is work on his shooting since he isn't as athletic as he once was. But all that will come with time as long as he can stay on the court.
