I thought the #blacklivesmatters movement was for the injustices put forth by law enforcement towards blacks. I thought it was to bring attention to those fundamental violations of our rights.

I don't get the logic how they lose credibility because that's where their focus began, and is.

I agree. The problem is some of the people who support and engage in the blacklivesmatter movement are the same people who would turn around and kill a black dude over something really petty so really black lives don't matter to other black people. And there's not much of an outrage when black on black crime happens some or most times. That doesn't take away from the blacklivesmatter movement, it just raises ethical and contradicting concerns.
