It's almost unbelievable. It was probably a bit of hyperbole on his part...but how could you be a rapper and have only heard one song from Big and Pac?

Culturally, especially being from Chicago.
You have to be a bboy for real to give a fukk like that.
Chicago is a gangster town built on house music or old disco and rnb.
You have to really be about the culture in Chicago.

Brehs Keef was born in '95 and grew up in the 2000's to 2010's so I'm not surprised he was fukking with Dipset, Beanie, G-Unit, Wayne and also he said in another interview that Gucci Mane was a major influence.

While I respect the fact he kept it real that's not a good excuse. I wasn't alive when RUN Dmc first dropped but I know their music. I'm not saying he has to be their biggest fans but to only know one song is kinda nuts. I do respect the fact he ain't fronting tho

But you grew up in NYC I assume, so RUN DMC had more of an impact to the culture of your city overall than Chicago.

That said, I find it hard to be Black in America and not know about certain people simply from their overall pop culture impact, but then again in certain communities you only listen to what is playing in the hood vs what is on MTV.

And it's plenty of young nikkas, like myself, who bump Pac. I'm the same age as him, but that nikka doesn't speak for anybody's music taste except his own. yeah I can see if he said literally any other Rapper besides Pac or Big lol but the people he grew up on probably sampled more than 5 pac songs as a collective on top of watching tv and movies, and dude a damn lie if he says in his hood they aint watch tv or movies. Even Pac especially still had albums and videos coming out in the early 2000s which makes this seem even more odd.
