It does, but it really calls out bad recordings. This new Chief Keef shyt is a bad recording. shyt sounds terrible
I think I found the problem. It's too compressed. Somebody fukked up on the mastering end. They compressed it to 128 then sold it to Tidal and Qobuz as flac; it's not. This is a 128kbps mix. I dunno if this shyt would even sound good off some airpods, but I'll try tomorrow when I'm working out. Somebody really fukked up though...

Yea the mix is not good, it's way too muddy, the bass not hitting like it's supposed to, vocals clipping and not properly embedded into the production...that said, shyt is hard. But I hope they go back and fix some of this shyt cause it's easily fixable
Back from the dead sounds better than this, and that shyt was recoded in a basemen at somebody’s house.
This shyt is inexcusable. Just cuz it’s trap-a-holics, doesn’t mean it should sound like shyt. A lot of these songs would bang if they were mixed and not compressed. Right now it’s liking listening out of tin cans. I kinda expect this from Keef, even though most of his shyt sounds good, but from Mike Will…I’m surprised. Producers typically know how to mix well or at least pay somebody to do it. shyt is lazy. Old school dirty sprite mixtape Mike Will produced early Future never sounded this bad (in fact is sounded good for an mp3 and lot flac)

I just got around to listening to this and y'all weren't lying about the sound quality being shyt lol.
I thought they recorded the album this way on purpose but maybe its a mixing/mastering issue.
