now I know why u a drake stan. trend hopping is cool to you
Since when am I a Drake stan, I haven't bigged up a single album of his since this site was invented :hhh:

Look weirdo, just cause I like some songs and don't want him to die doesn't make me a stan.

It's not about trend-hopping, it's about music evolving and you evolving with it but with you own style. That Nas had 808-drums on his shyt doesn't make him a trend-hopper in that sense, it's just that he caught some influence from some new shyt and used his creativity to do what he does.

Using the Wayne example again, he was with BG and Juvenile and highly influenced by them but did his own thing that was unique.

Then the sound changed, he started fukking with some other people and yet again did his own thing

Both dope as fukk and Lil Wayne as fukk and different as fukk, you don't have to steal a nikkas whole shyt to be influenced by him.

If Chief Keef influenced this new generation (Uzi, Carti, Yachty, & Fetty were the rappers in that video named as influenced by Keef) as much as yall claiming, it makes sense why they cant rap either, but instead mumble random phrases while relying on production & adlibs too:ld:

He wasn't really "on" long enough to do this. OP is talking about "like Jay-Z"....Jay been around since the 90's. Keef wasn't even hot 10 years ago.

Never evolved either. Trend-hopping with you own twist to it is a lot more respectable than doing the exact same shyt all the time. Say Wayne when he was first with Juve and them but did his own twist to it, then with Dipset and NY and did his own twist to it. He used his creativity and stayed fresh, people like Chief is just boring.
Y'all just be talking to talk Chief Keef has changed his style every year since he blew. And it was all original

I'm going to be honest and not act like I listen to his 7 or whatever mixtapes last year but I did skim through all of them and listened to at least a handfull of songs in full and in my ears he sounded exactly the same but a bit more ignorant ballin slightly less violent but still the same. I have a bunch of hipster white boy friends who love that shyt.

Keef X Lil B X Wop X Wayne = the Fathers of this current Gen (even though Keef is Wop's son).

3'6 Mafia is sprinkled in there too but they influenced Wop and Lil B
Facts but I would throw in Future too. Also Chief was a long with a bunch of other dudes from his city/crew or whatever that whole movement, he wasn't solo in that.
