Women in here making good points but their vindictive streak blinds them from seeing the struggle that single Dad's go thru taking care of they own house but also taking care of a house they don't even reside in. Child support is a bandaid. More work should be done on keeping kids in a two parent household.

Then you have joint custody of the child or not? If your child is staying in the summer are you paying for child support? How long is a summer? Two months? If ovr the two months your child is staying with you i agree that you shouldnt be paying child support.

by the time you go to court youre already $2500 in the hole to the state for "fees and aid"
you want visitation--$150

does she need a lawyer-- nope she's represented by the state and guess who is paying for that
average child support payment a month in tn-$350 a month 12 months in a year 4200 18 years 75600
not to mention you handing over your tax return every month
oh you want a dna test $350-$600
so lets see a father has to pay damn near 10 grand in a year and these mfs wanna complain bytch live in your car or work 2 jobs just so someone takes half your check while you still keep all your money (if she works) or your live with another man so now the father is paying YA'LL bills

And in any case, it costs a lot more than $350 a month to raise a kid, just financially, but def if you count all the time and effort too.

I don't think calling it a scam is really honest, unless u were lied to about not having to pay child support. People know what happens when u nut w/o protection in a woman of child bearing age, and men know how biased the child support system is. And still, somehow, dudes keep walking into the trap

Perhaps that is a tweak that can be made. Therefore it should be ordaines that every summer you have your child for 3 months. Therefore, during those three months payment are deferred and retroactively start again after the 3 months are up.
