All types of lies in this post. There's poverty in Scandinavian countries and wealth in Africa. There's poor whites in this country .

You know what I mean..There was a time Denmark had more money than all African states combined.

Yes, there is poverty in Scandinavia, but its not the grinding dirt poor poverty you see elsewhere.
My point was, Scandinavians dont care for religious fairytales as much as Africans do, where the number of new churches far exceeds the number of new businesses.

Above the fray.
Good..
Scandinavian countries have barely any churches, but they are rich and successul.
In Africa, fire churches and mosques everywhere but people remain broke and hopeless.

Religion blocks the mind from doing what it was designed to, and that is to think for oneself.

Christianity has been in Europe for centuries. Those populations are becoming more secular as the people have read history and see the church for what it is, good and bad.
It's the people who are in Europe's former colonies that are the new converts and Christians. They will learn later what the Europeans
already know from experience. Africans and Asians are the lifeblood on what was a shrinking church.

Applies to Islam as well, we associate Islam with Arabs.....but more non Arab Moslems in the world than Arabs.

The problem with some of the newly converted( 3 generations or less) is that they are too gung ho and swallow the ENTIRE pitcher of water that's poured down their throats.

I agree, but all these fire and miracle churches popping up all over Africa are not being introduced by Europeans but by unscrupulous Africans taking advantage of people looking to connect with God. These pastors are money grubbing zealots, all theyre there for is the tithe.
And if you have more Africans running to church than to open a business then it means people have lost all hope.
Like I said, its more new churches than new start-up businesses. And if Europeans are running from the church because after centuries they realize its all bullshyt then perhaps we can learn something from their experience

I don't live on the continent, but how is what you're describing any different from Blacks in the diaspora?
In the poorer parts of the Caribbean and in the poor Black areas in N. America.....there are churches every 4-6 blocks at least.

The founding father and first president of China was a Christian

Sun Yat-sen - Wikipedia

He was also inspired by a large Christian inspired rebellion against Qing dynasty.

Taiping Rebellion - Wikipedia

Hong Xiuquan - Wikipedia

I'm an atheist myself and don't care if this ban is applied to all religions and for the purpose of enlightening the masses, but the Chinese government still revere and forbid criticism of a man that cause millions of death (Mao Zedong) and currently building a new cult of personality around their new president for life

This entire Chinese village is a shrine to Xi Jinping - CNN

So this is simply a bigger cult oppresing a smaller one, not something worthwhile to be celebrated
This was all before the communist revolution.

Also Christians were viewed as subversive and also an arm of white western colonizers. This view is somewhat understandable given that the church and missionaries often worked as the soft power of subjugation and assimilation in conjunction with violent conquerors and the military. Ask the Native Americans about that.

I'm just saying while the act itself is good the intention behind it is not, this is just the communist party crushing any competition to control the masses with their own version of state sanctioned cult, not to free people from all religion. If you're ok with this then are you going to complain if western countries start banning Koran and forcing Muslims to convert to protect "western way of life"?

I also don't like how the communist party try to monopolize what is considered appopriate for China or not. They even try to claim that democracy or even questioning the government is un-Chinese and caused by western influence.

Coli hustlers...

You see news...I see opportunity

You want to make a quick buck... see if you can invest in a Chinese Bible and figure out how to distribute it. Place ads on facebook in China and try to get it poppin :manny:

Since they can't download it start an email subscription. $10 a week for scriptures emailed should be a decent tithe :myman:

I don't disagree. But was just pointing out that a lot of the anti-christian/religious views were implemented after the communist revolution. Most communist governments have banned religion because they view it as another institution of control but at least the state has some accountability to the people, in theory (usually not in practice).

In the context of who you were replying to, your post makes sense, but was also just pointing out why he and other have that perception in the first place since China pretty much organized purges against the Christians in China in the 50's and 60's.

In my opinion, folks should be allowed to practice any religion they want freely, as long as its separated from the state and I think this shyt is another backwards thing that China has decided to do on top of 100 others. But I'd be lying if I don't view Christianity in a historical context with some disdain, given its been used also as a tool to oppress and another form of power to control people.
