Socioeconomic stunting. Whites from US and Western Europe make nearly 3 times the avg male in Eastern Europe’s salary. So they engage in arbitrage to obtain better looking women from Russia, Latvia, Bulgaria, etc than they would qualify for in their homelands. It’s a pretty big industry because local guys from the East facilitate it by charging fees for access to their women as “brides”.


The avg Chinese person in Shanghai is in the same scenario as the western EU or American male. Their productivity and salary dwarf that of the men of Kual a Lumpur or Hanoi. This creates an opportunity for arbitrage. It wouldn’t take too much of an imagination to envision those 70mil Chinese men capitalizing on it.

According to my Chinese inferential stats professor, the issue is pretty complex. He said culturally, China always struggled with gender roles, with most provinces relegating women to subservient roles. Apparently, in ancient China this was not the case, but Confucianism replacing Taoism influenced this shift to some really toxic gender dynamics for women. Layered on top of this is the fact that wealth, economic provision, is heavily considered a male societal role. So in a society that doesn't support women working outside of the home, you also create an issue where women become just another mouth to feed if you are poor. Thus, now women are considered not only inferior culturally but also economic liabilities... all because of patriarchal He-man, Iz da prize, type shyt.
Soooooo if you can only one child, families elect to keep the males, and dump the females.

My professor says he moved his family from overseas because he didn't want his daughters caught up in the mess, but prospects are really bad.
