Natural resources are priceless, and take millions of years to regenerate. Cheap Chinese infrastructure requires constant maintenance, and where is the money coming from for that? Who is paying for the upkeep of roads, and buildings? And how are they paying for it? I don't know how you can be so naive to not realize that the benefits (longterm) China is going to reap from this "investment" far outweighs this measly 60 billion dollars.

like i said they sitting on a gold mine they might as well put it to use...as it stands those priceless resources do nothing for the tens of millions of crippling poor Africans living on them..hypothetically even if China was rewarded some of African resources to help develop the nation is more than a fair exchangeWhat type of question is that ? I would expect the African government to maintain the upkeep of all infrastructure in their respective countries.....yeah cause 60 billion is chump changethe thing is nothing is wrong with that...China has ever right to be rewarded for it's investment and it's an investment well worth it for both parties.

This thread is a painful read for me as a Nigerian man.

Never trust anybody.

China is going to exploit the continent for their own goals and move their own people there.

See how most Africans are treated in China compared to Chinese in Africa for an example of how genuine their intentions are.
