In the middle of the day, go outside and tell me if you see any stars....yea they are there but they are drowned out but the sun...

its dark in the background because here on earth we have a atmosphere with clouds and shyt that reflect light. If we didn't have a atmosphere, it would look the same exact way as it does on the moon.

Now if you go on the side of the moon that's not facing the sun, then you would see the stars
