It actually does disprove it. Creationism is a very specific ideology that says life on birth began as it was recorded in the bible (even though lately they've been trying to push ID over creationism).
And part of the belief of creationism is that God created each animal of its own kind:
Gen 1:24
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it wasgood.
Scientifically we know this isn't correct because we know that animals share a common ancestor.

I believe in God and I believe in evolution. I think people take the bible too literally
