How do you 'lose' something that can't be gained; or not seen as valuable?
If the basis of ur 'Western propaganda' argument is that western powers somehow fear ceding Africa to the east, than it's a no-go bc the only real interest(U.S) has in the region is logistically, and it's proximity to spreading, radicalized Islamic entities.

You don’t understand because the basis of your perception is incorrect. The “real interest” of the US and its allies in Africa is not solely based on terrorism.
