Don’t despair. It will happen in time. We have to remember most of these countries are less than 60 years old and are now just starting to get a sense of national identity apart from their ethnic ones.

It took Euros 1000 years to recover from the fall of Rome.

Once people have Faith in their institutions and fellow citizens, we will see Africa take off.

Can’t speak for other countries, but Kenya in many ways is a completely different country than it was when I first visited in 1998.

I’m actually headed back to Kenya in the summer to kick it and explore some business ideas. Get in on the ground floor of the growth taking place right now.
That timeline isn't correct...Rome actually never 'fell', it disseminated across the continent. Point taken though.European states historically have always been at odds with each other.

I'm not. I'm criticizing Africa's decisions involving Chinese money.

Oh. Well it looks like China is setting these projects up to fail and in some cases sabotaging them and then stealing African land/infrastructure.

The West would never get away with this in Africa.

Corruption is everywhere but this is deeper than that.

:wow: debt is some evil shyt. I'm need to pay off my cc asap and destroy it.....

When I was 20, any card with a magnetic strip would have me in hella debt and problems. Now, I have all manner of credit and have not 1 bit of problem with using it or paying it off.

It's all in the planning.

This makes me wish I had some ties to Nigeria.

I'd be blasting everyone worth a damn ear.

Crazy thing to me is, is that in theory a lot issues regard infrastructure investing in the people are relatively easy to fix and implement.

@The Wave @Nemesis thoughts? :patrice:

To put it really simply

The people in power dont have ideas

The people with ideas arent in power .......

ive never voted in a Nigerian election simply because Ive never come across a candidate worth the X

The irony is, hypothetically if a potential candidate were to come about with game-changing policies or ideas, they'd likely be slandered, discredited and even assassinated before ever getting a chance to implement a single issue. At some point, a change has got to come( @Conscious Pilot ).
