Reading through thread and like expected A LOT of dumbass shyt from people who don't understand geopolitics,, investments or how the world works. Of course its easier to scream, "China is colonizing Haiti!" When in fact this is something many Haitians I know dreamed of who want Haiti to become self-sufficient.

China? I'm more scared of the dumbass Haitian elite who may make this worse than what happened to Jamaica. Infrastructure is a MUST for Haiti repeat a MUST and anyone who is against this is a moron. I long been waiting for Haiti to get the China deal that Africa has been getting. Some may disagree but look at North Sudan, Angola, Ethiopia and Tanzania. Chinese infrastructure has been setting off like wildfire in those countries[and I seen it first hand].

The bad thing is Haiti can be flooded with Chinese foreigners who will get an unfair advantage over the poor majority, the Chinese may hire only Chinese workers among other things. But thats if the Haitian government ALLOWS THAT!
The Haitian government will 100% allow that.

People don't know how the Chinese walk. Anyone who says the Chinese are like the West are idiots. I don't like the Chinese because they are cheap as fukk, they put money over EVERYTHING[they will sell their own mothers for money], what they are doing in Tibet is questionable and they don't seem ti care for the environment.

However, when it comes to BLACK NATIONS I most definitely want the Chinese as my business partner. Like someone in that petrodollar thread in the HL said the Chinese are conquering by buying nations.
The Chinese invest without stringent rules and "democracy"/"nation-building."
I can see the Chinese giving no qualms about how the money is funneled leading to a solidifying of the Haitian over-class, plus a mix of Chinese wealthy also taking over a significant share of the market there.

Seem like the criminal organizations in Haiti try to "act right" aka start talking about haitian enterpreneurship.

The Criminal organization = Digicel, IDB, CFI, BID......

On China :

The Chinese been buying land for awhile now and had Haiti project (for the airport back in 2013) but was shut down by the US & friends.

U.S also shut down Hugo Chavez helping Haiti in the past.

Haitian- China relation:

Work Begins Soon to Bring Haiti into 'Silk Road' After China Invests US$30 billion to Develop Infrastructure|News|teleSUR

"A video released by the Haitian company Bati Ayiti, explaining the project to renovate Port-au-Prince with the initial Chinese investment of nearly US$5 billion"

I'm already bothered by the scope of this project, and I know it's just me being nitpicky, but having to have worked on urban development projects when I was an intern, things like a focus on recycling and sustainable management of waste, a mix of renewable energy and nonrenewable energy use, the "light" implementation of iOT in public works, and the pre-connection to ares that have yet to have been worked on to make the process of state development easier to port are all important things to implement.

You see this?:

Just peeped it.

He openly talked down against China but he kept it pretty vague. He admitted that the America is largely responsible for the rise of China but he kept that vague as well

He knows that going into detail would expose would expose the intricacies of China’s soon to be domination over America, expose the fact that this is irreversible, and also expose the details on how America funded it’s own destruction

China has America in check and will mate within 20 years

And ain’t nothing some tough talking, Irish mufukka that needs a shave can do about it

So what does this "dominance" mean? How will it look?

So what does this "dominance" mean? How will it look?

First it’ll look like China investing in global infrastructure in western dominated spaces and America just sitting there watching - Talking tough at first (like bannon) but then spinning it as a “Global Good” (Already starting to happen).

Then china will start to be able to dictate global monetary policy. This has already happened. China and others formed BRICS as competition to the IMF. This, along with the AIIB, scared the west so much they allowed China a seat at the monetary table (this alone is worthy of its own thread).

It’ll look like China physically contesting America’s might. It’ll be logical at first... like the South China Sea issue

Later it’ll be “I’m Chinese And I Say So”.

I could go on and on but ultimately, Chinese domination will look like competition - unwinnable competition, and global monetary policies that maintain China’s dominance.

Once they’re in position the only thing that can threaten China will be a unified sub Saharan Africa. A unified Latin America could black a few eyes I guess but I don’t think they have a rising educational class. One things for sure, the European will ultimately go back being the minor player he was always supposed to be

@Poitier may be able offer some pushback on some of this

Also Haiti does have fertile land. My grandpa's farm in Petite Gouave is very fertile. L'artibonite is known in Haiti for its fertile soil. My dad's side of the family have farms in August Caves and those lands are fertile. The deforestation myth is overblown. Haiti is an agriculture goldmine that given the right investment could flourish.

I agree, I was there in May drove to Cap Haitien and back to Montrouis and it was green and lush in most places. The country needs this, we can can't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Thats a lot of hypotheticals. China in their entire history have never really been aggressive expansionists so this is uncharted waters for them. Personally i dont trust them or anyone for that matter so I am kinda worried for the carribean and Africa because this isnt coming from a place if goodwill.

Only hypothetical thing I said was Africa rising as competition. Everything else has happened or is currently happening

China needs trading partners.. that's why they're investing in the Caribbean, South America and Africa so when USA - China relationship dries up they'll be able to continue trading with these nations
