Ukraine has reshaped perspective on militaries. It's confirmed the large gap between the US and other militaries, but it has also made it pretty clear that Russia and China aren't second and third. France is probably #2, then a series of other European countries including Poland. And Japan is on there too. I think it also highlights US military industrial complex fukkery. The US congress recently ran a war game where China successfully took over Taiwan. In the real world I see no reason to believe China has the capability to pull that off. It would require the largest amphibious assault since WWII...that's not happening.

End of the day China doesn't have to fire a shot to take Taiwan. It'll happen slowly, culturally.

Because Black people have always been treated as cannon fodder by the US govt. Even when it needed all the manpower it could get like during the Civil War and WW2. They still treated Black people horrendously.


Also for all their posturing the US doesn't ever want to fight a country that can actually fight them. In fact they haven't fought a country that can really hit back since the War of 1812. And we all know what happened there.

And concerning WW2 the US had to be dragged kicking and screaming to fight Germany for 2 main reasons:

1. They liked the Nazis because they agreed with them

2. Germany was far superior militarily than the US and the US in keeping with their cowardice didn't want to fight if victory wasn't guaranteed. So they only wanted to jump in and fight them after Russia defeated the Nazis and started pushing them back in Stalingrad.

And the last time they even indirectly fought China it was the Korean War. And that was a stalemate. Which was also back when China had a much weaker military.

In both of these situations the political process brought us home, not because the U.S. was being destroyed. You could blame the U.S. for not invading North Vietnam or not supporting South Vietnam militarily after we left. We could still be in Afghanistan right now, but with the money and years spent on making the country even somewhat modern and stable failed and people did not want to deal with it anymore.

Do not try to make it seem like we left due to being militarily defeated, that is completely incorrect.
