Russia does have some worries about China however it’s a bit overblown. China and Russia are united economically. China has cash which Russia needs. Russia has oil/natural gas and weapons tech that China needs.

Secondly and most importantly they are united by one goal. That is to end Western global dominance ie American global dominance. Dr John Mearsheimer said this the big key thing. As long as America sees Russia and China as adversaries so the both of them will work together like Voltron to confront America. They do not see each other threat. The only reason why Russia and China are able to do what they do is that their border is peaceful. The Sino-Soviet split in the 1970s was the first nail to the coffin of the USSR. The reason why Russia is more interested in their western borders and not their eastern border is because it’s peaceful. And the same with China. They have deep economic and military ties they have with China that the USSR never did. Since they are not hostile towards each other they do not have to divert resources to militarized the border they share. Now they can divert these resrouces in the South China Sea, Eastern Europe, Syria etc. China does not want what happened to the USSR in regards to that split to happen to them.

If the US was smart they would try to do. Russo-China split by working with Russia because China needs Russia more. The reason China is the more long term threat and deadly threat not Russia. However all the anti Russia fever is making Russia and China work together and bring their friendship slower together. Dr John Mearsheimer said NATO expansion was and is a mistake. He said Russia is not a major threat and that China is longer term threat.

Having them working together is a strategic nightmare. And all these sanctions and tariffs will do is bring them ever more closer and determined to counter the West.Hell this month both of them had the largest military exercise in recent history. So there is no cracks in the friendships. They both share a common goal in maintaining order in Central Asia. They both fear Sunni Islamic radicalism in Central Asia. So they have a lot more common interest than we think. And allying with Iran makes it much more stronger. They know the minute the US starts a war with Iran it will be a bloody quagmire and they will arm and equip Iran to bleed America dry in a conflict. Trump is playing tic-tac toe on a global chess board.

Yeah, I mean that's in the best case scenario for Russia and China....

If things go the way things are and the balance of power shifts to China’s favor they will eventually invade Taiwan. That is likely to happen in 20-25 years from now. China wants to dominant Asia the same way the US dominates the Western Hemisphere. They want to have their own Monroe Doctrine. Taking Taiwan is one of their major goals. It’s their nationalist goal. Taiwan has been part of China since ancient times and was taken away from the Japanese in the 1890s when China was weak. So it is a major goal of theirs to retake it. China is waiting for the right time to do.

It also benefits China in two way invading Taiwan.
- China would absorb Taiwan’s economic and military resources making it much more powerful than its Asian neighbors. Shifting the balance much more further.

- Taiwan is a giant aircraft carrier sitting of Chinas coast. Which would enhance China’s ability to project military power into the Western Pacific Ocean.

US dropped the ball on this and Ukraine. Should’ve been left Afghanistan and Iraq to focus on the big fish.

Now we are headed to a larger conflict potentially. Sanctions aren’t crippling Russia and China isn’t going to be fazed by this trade war.

If the US can’t get the international community on its side to confront these two nations things will either get dire or stagnant.

Trump beefing with all allies leaves the US isolated.

China and Russia are gonna win this beef in the long run
