explain...

And what about Ghost Towns:

Explain what? People, corporations and governments make dumbass decisions. It's not like the Chinese are exempt. Probably corrupt construction dudes getting contracts from the government to build random ass places and get money.

Would be a great place to hold a street party though.

edit: I don't know why they do this shyt breh, it's actually stupid as fukk. If I was homeless or a serial squatter I'd basically move in.

Unless you know the ins, outs and politics involved with constructing buildings then I think its best if you exit the thread now. Anyone who's been in the industry knows how much "code and zoning" here is a fukking hustle to milk millions. The reason it takes so long to construct here is not for safety reasons in the least bit. The system is setup to make it take years so they can further be exploited in the process. I used to work for an engineering firm when I was planning to be an architect

With that said, it doesnt mean THIS building may not be shyt. 19 days? I wouldn't even call the top floor, let alone step foot in it. :soconfused:

Apparently you can knock the hustle :leon:

Y'all have no basis to to call it inferior construction or unsafe. Modular construction has long since been seen as the future and can be safer since pieces are made in some factory somewhere under more controlled conditions.

:heh: Nikka, this is China we're talking about. The capital of cheap sweatshop labor. I doubt they even have building safety codes over there. If one person dies there's 1000 waiting to replace him:to:

Yeah true, if by legally you mean 10 year olds working for pennies a week in sweatshops with antisuicide nets, yeah at least they're legally employed....

Now as I distance myself from you fools, I'd like to address the fact that I would never set foot in the fukkung Jenga game of a building.

you gotta admit breh...thats a little fast :skip:
well.. at first I was like :mindblown: nineteen days? ain't even three weeks
but it's just progress. we used to have to travel weeks to get anywhere and wait weeks for letters. now we can holla at thots around the world instantly or hop on a plane within a couple hours. building a structure used to take YEARS, now brehs figuring out ways to do it within a month.

progress. not saying it's a beautifully built, solid, safe structure because I don't know the specs, etc.
but I'm not gonna blindly jump on the 'fukk China' bandwagon like so many posters here

edit: if this shyt falls down within a year i'm about to look like a damn fool

So because they have sweatshops (which American companies use to put products in your hands), they don't use building codes? :dahell:

I bet they use the same code as the US: the International Code Council.

"Bu...bu..but they make cheap Beats by Jet Li headphones there :why:"
