They said Xi was much more relaxed in his stance toward Putin, very confident and dominant but that Xi actually showed some signs of nervousness when he started talking tough against the US. Blinking fast and Its like he knows he dont REALLY want to compete but its too late the gauntlet has been thrown.

To be fair, Russia's problem is they still suffering from delusion of grandeur from being former great power and still convinced they #2 despite having outdated military. I heard stories from Chinese soldiers that Russian soldiers still trying to boss around Chinese soldiers during training and a Russian pilot surprised that a Chinese pilot drop more guided bomb in a single training than that Russian pilot drop in a year. If Russia could drop their pride and start behaving as junior partner to China just like UK and Japan are junior partner to US they'll be better off
