Here's a great article on the now &U why Chip Kelly has been a disappointment lately

And now Kelly — stripped of any oversight over personnel — is in charge of a 49ers offense that boasts arguably the worst skill-position talent in the NFLand will be led at quarterback by Blaine Gabbert, whose 71.9 career passer rating puts him behind such exalted figures as Geno Smith and Brandon Weeden. While Kelly’s Oregon and early Eagles offenses broke records by weaving together multiple formations, adaptable running schemes, and multifaceted read-options, all powered by an ingenious spread offense philosophy and a frenetic, up-tempo pace, in the past two years those elements have been undermined or simply fallen away, and Kelly’s offense has become, in Evan Mathis’s words, the most “never-evolving, vanilla offense” in the NFL. How did that happen?

once Chip leaves the NFL, he will get a top job in college, that's how this works.

Also, even when he had success early, his offense wasn't anything pioneering like Bill Walsh's west coast offense or anything, as far as the actual plays, his shyt was just waaay faster getting plays off.

Nah I didn't fall for the okie doke but I was :wtf: at those Nick Foles numbers. I can't lie.

Chip bought into his own hype when he started letting all his good players walk because he thought it was his system that was winning and not the players :heh:

He got his wake up call though :youngsabo:

Cause Nick Foles gave him irrational, historically unforeseen, unsustainable QB play.

He threw like 27 TDs and 2 INTs or something stupid like that in his half season.
Had one 7 TD game :heh:

As soon as Foles came back to Earth and played like the Foles we all know, Chip was finished.

Also doesn't help when you lose Desean, LeSean, and Maclin for "thuggery reasons" :mjpls:

That Nick Foles thing is something that's always bothered me. Like Vick comes in the season being the starter, plays relatively well despite a 1-3 start and tough schedule, then when he gets hurt Foles steps in and puts up stupid dumb numbers against weak competition. Vick and Desean get let go in the offseason and Foles comes crashing down to earth

It's like he magically got good just so the whole Vick, Desean and Lesean trio could be split up, smh

Now that I think about it, has there ever been a case of someone coming out of nowhere and being THAT good before falling off again? That was some true lightening in a bottle shyt, I never saw anything like it before
