I smashed the fukk out of that shyt and Im not buying another one. I trust my roommates to not start fires.

The shyt was malfunctioning. I took the fire alarm out of the unit and it still chirped like 3 times a minute. Tried to discharge it, then the thing starts chirping again 2 hours later. So I smashed itYou can't afford a replacement battery![]()

Maybe it's time for a new 1 , they have a life expectancy of about 10 years then you need to replace themhappened recently... Housemate moved out and he said the fire alarm in his room was going off despite changing the batteries.. the number of beeps per minute signal the problem.. for mine, it was beeping 3 times every minute, meaning there was a malfunction with the alarm, and not just a low battery.
Definitely felt like smashing mine.![]()
