OK, that doesn’t make him the better player. KG was the anchor of one of the best defenses of all-time and outscored Pierce in every other playoff series outside of the Finals. He was clearly the better player and was 3rd in MVP votes/All-NBA 1st-/DPOY/All-Def 1st while Pierce earned NONE of those accolades.

Anyone thinking Pierce was #1 on the ‘08 Celtics is a stan or an idiot.

He should get in next year. I'm not sure on the number of people they let in per year but obviously this class was loaded. He would get no attention this year at all.
