12 people were elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame last year. 12!!! This isn't baseball or even football. He might not be a first ballot Hall of Famer; but he'll eventually get in.

Ralph Sampson's a Hall of Famer. :whoa:

:heh: You can make a case that all Derrick Rose needs to do between now and 2017 is not die, because he's pretty much in now given its standards.

All @Malta gotta do to make the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame is put in about a decade more work with powerful posting in the Coli

Well, there isn't one MVP who is eligible that isn't in the HOF right now. Derrick Rose has the credentials after only 4 seasons (ROY, MVP, 3-time All Star, All NBA 1st Team, etc), and if he comes back to form, he's pretty much a lock. Steve Nash is also a lock with his TWO MVPs.

I just don't understand how fukkin Danny Granger has a higher HOF probability than Derrick Rose. That formula is severely flawed.

He definitely is. He will be one of those guys that was never a superstar, but will have a long list of individual and team accomplishments to have a shiny resume.

Dude's been a really good player for awhile now.

All-star appearances? :why: A more effective indicator of HOF status is All-NBA Teams or some other award that doesn't include the sometimes flawed fan voting system.

Bosh has one 2nd NBA Team. :ehh:

He's on the HOF path, I guess, but he wasn't four years ago. :heh:

The line about "I talked about it with my friends" makes me think there was sarcasm or tongue-in-cheek there, even with the I'm serious part.

Kevin McHale was a better player than Chris Bosh.

That would matter if Kevin McHale was the worst player in the Hall of Fame.

And SMH @ anybody even having a question to Allen Iverson making the HOF. He's in on the first ballot.

I guess this has a lot to do and not much to do w/ the thread.

The coaches voting ain't all that much better than the fan voting. I think they vote w/ the popular/winning teams player more than the actual best player for the position.

If a player with great stats, cause he's on a losing team, to me deserves it more than a player w/ subpar stats on a winning team (except in rare cases).

Well dude seemed to be saying if McHale could make it as a bench player then Bosh, a starter pretty much his whole career should make it. Which I don't agree with. Bosh is a dude who's resume' far outweigh his actual impact on the court. Kevin McHale was unstoppable on the block for half a decade...Bosh cannot boast being dominant at any aspect of basketball ever in his career.

But the basketball HOF is so easy to get into that he should make it.
