The Christian southern strategy was meant to galvanize white voters around the Republican party. But as younger white voters are becoming more distanced from religion, making appeals to "traditional values," children, and Christianity; and fearmongering over "liberal gay agendas" and "queer theory," has become the bullhorn to lead narcisstic black and Latino voters over to the party. I know several Muslim families that moved from democrat county to a republican counties for better schools, and better social scenes that meets their lifestyle standards. They don't always agree on politics, but at least both sides don't want their children to be indoctrinated by the school system.
