That's dumb as fukk. Just because EVERYONE will question the purpose or think it's disingenuous doesn't mean a celebrity like LeBron has no media effect on social issues. If he tweets or posts an instagram post about, say, the murderous Myanmar monks, that'll be 500K+ people that are now aware of the situation.
