Legal Expert Weighs In on Chris Brown's Latest Arrest and Its Potential Ramifications
by Francesca Bacardi & Holly Passalaqua | Wed, Aug 31, 2016 1:27 PM

"Nia Guzman gets $2,500 a month in child support but has been trying to get that increased. Her request for $16,000 a month was withdrawn. If she is granted sole physical custody she can revisit the issue of support," Slaten explains. "The more time a child spends with a parent, the more support that parent can seek."

Slaten also believes that Guzman will use Brown's recent legal troubles as a basis to petition the court to grant her sole physical custody. She also might request that any visitation Brown receives be monitored. "I expect to see movement on the family law case immediately," Slaten shares with us. "Guzman can file an emergency petition to have the court act 'in the best interests of the child.'"

Slaten also says that Brown's profanity-laden Instagram video responses could be used against him in both criminal and family courts.

"Guzman doesn't have to prove to the family court that Brown is guilty 'beyond a reasonable doubt,' the standard used in criminal cases," Slaten adds. "She only has to prove by 'clear and convincing' evidence that the bests interests of the child are served by her requests."

Of course I don't believe he took out a pistol, ordered her to her knees, and put a gun to her head, and said he would kill her....but do I believe a drug induced 'party' got out of hand, or went bad, and some of Chris' hanger ons, himself included, possibly, intimidated or attempted to intimidated (with or without a firearm) some LA celeb hoe, who then called the police? Yes. I've seen the shyt happen myself, no celebs, just money guns,, drugs, bytches, and ego. That's all these people do is get high, get drunk, play frat house in a mansion on the outskirts of LA, add the gang ties and the guns, and this is what you get.
Would you stop caping for that ugly theiving lying ho.

shyt just got more interesting:

The woman who accused Chris Brown" class="ui-link" style="color: rgb(207, 0, 0); font-weight: 700; font-family: RobotoCondensed; font-size: 16.64px; line-height: 24.96px; text-shadow: 0px 0px 0px !important;">Chris Brownof pointing a gun at her allegedly wrote a text message shortly after the incident saying she was going to frame Chris with the gun allegation out of revenge ... but she denies sending any such message.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the text, sent to an acquaintance named Safari -- no relation to Nicki Minaj's ex. The text was purportedly sent Tuesday at 2:57 AM, shortly after Baylee Curranwas kicked out of Chris' house. It reads:

"Hey safari don't you know this freak Chris brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend jewelry fake can you come get me my Uber is messing up if not I'm going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson I'm going to set his ass up. Lol come get me."

He responded, "Really that's f*** up you ain't going to do that your wrong if you do."

We've learned the alleged text is in possession of Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, who's trying to authenticate it.

Here's what's interesting. She refers to an Uber "messing up." We've learned the guy who picked her up" class="ui-link" style="color: rgb(207, 0, 0); font-weight: 700; font-family: RobotoCondensed; font-size: 16.64px; line-height: 24.96px; text-shadow: 0px 0px 0px !important;">the guy who picked her up from Chris' house first called for a Lyft to pick her up but when the driver showed, she was hiding under a car, so the Lyft driver left. How would Safari know that?

On the other hand, there's reason to doubt the text. We spoke with Safari, who says Baylee stole his Rolex last year and he hasn't spoken with her since. Why would she text a guy she hasn't spoken to in nearly a year and ask him to pick her up? He also would have a motive to lie since he accused her of stealing ... something she denies
