Chris Brown is reheated R. Kelly.

Great singer with no fukking growth as a human being.

And it's sad because even R. Kelly has records where he showed hints of
growth even if it did require going back and essentially mimicking the OG's.
(Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers and so on....)

Chris Brown is TMac.

TMac has all the tools to be the greatest. Has a HOF career, but all of his greatest moments are regular season. Never piut it all together for a legendary run.

Breezy still doesnt have a classic album, but the singles and skill set are top notch.

Chris Brown is better at his craft than Ben Simmons is at his. A basketball player who is an offensive liability vs an entertainer who can do it all.

Ben has no accolades. Breezy is literally a living legend. Stop the nonsense.

Ehh idk if that’s an appropriate comparison. Chris Brown did have an ascension and if not for the Rihanna situation may have been bigger but even with that has still seen a lot of success. Maybe Carmelo Anthony is a better comparison. Melo was great but maybe would have been looked upon better if he played for better teams. Or maybe Dwayne Wade who was great early but injuries kind of stagnated him a bit later on but he still had success with the heatles.

He was on the fast track to mainstream superstardom. He had all the tools to be that next guy and that pretty much destroyed it. He still managed to salvage a successful career though. A more appropriate comparison would be Bron if he had some major scandal early in his career, well I guess for sports it would need to be an injury that was his fault, and then he bounced back to have a successful career but nothing on the level of what was predicted early on.

Breezy was never the “Top” in Music.... He was a rising star at one point. Never “Top”

i said TOP in a dead genre (RnB), which he is.

which of his RnB peers from 2005 are making relevant music in 2019-2021?

TreySongz is Ben Simmons

Chris Brown is Iverson or Melo

He still makes some good music but I agree. He was somehow insulted that people wanted to see him and Usher in a verzuz. Ushers catalogue is way better, he’s a better singer and his content is more diverse.

if Chris out as much energy into delivering a few traditional r&b hits as he does party and pop records people wouldn’t say this..a lot of his traditional r&b tracks sound generic and phoned in. But then again the formula is working for hi. :manny;

:dwillhuh:For real? Dam this nikka might be deluded...and I am a fan but if he thinks his catalogue is anywhere near Ushers.:mjlol:

Only vs ima do is CHRIS BROWN VS CHRIS BREEZY... not in competition with nobody but myself..." he wrote. He added on his Instagram Story, "I could do a vs off features alone… So I’ll humbly decline. I’m busy doing nothing."

The sheer audacity considering Usher is far more accomplished than him and a bigger legend.:hhh:

Progression is subjective....but his music before and after the incident is definitely different.

He could have been a bigger pop star, but I ain't mad cause I like the ratchet trap party version of Breezy.
I don't think we get a lot of his recent hits in the last decade without that incident tbh.
