Saying Chris is better than Kells musically is a little out there.....I can't get with that:patrice:

But I gotta admit R. Kelly has never been impressive vocally. If you can remotely sing you can nail a R. Kelly song note for note.

Kels being rocked by the Holy Spirit at Whitney's funeral says 'What?'

Kels has a lot of demons, but when he's on, he's on. Chris has him beat on the dance moves, though, which is what this thread should be about. Vocally, though? No.

:comeon:2:00 you gotta be able to do better than "remotely sing",gotta give em that:whoa:

I don't think Chris a bad a singer as everybody sayin either though, maybe they goin off just songs like you are with Kellz...I just haven seen as much of Chris Brown singin acapella or live to say strongly one way or the other on him,but from what I have heard he don't sound bad. His voice just sounds like kid which is my knock on him.

I guess we have different opinions on what is impressive vocally and lets leave it at that. Singing with lots of vibrato isn't that special IMO...actually I hate it so I'm biased. Trey Songz is a good example of a dude with beast vocals but usually ruins it with annoying vibrato.

Babyface would be an example of somebody who i think has strong clean vocals...his tone and range is nasty.

Babyface has a nice voice but he has never been known as having a strong voice. Is this thread in the Twilight Zone?

See we have different opinions on vocals...

When you think strong vocals its probably somebody like K-Ci(who's a beast btw)....I think somebody like Maxwell.

Thats fair, however i prefer Maxwell as a singer to K-ci because K-Ci is one dimensional IMO. I prefer singers with many voices such as Marvin, Maxwell, Dangelo, Kellz, MJ etc
