Gucci Mane is mentally ill and is significantly less educated and comes from poverty stricken circumstances. Also, he ain't lite skin.
So? And the jury is still out on the first two. I can understand why Chris Brown is mad. Rihanna tried to have him buried to promote an album and then when she can't squeeze another penny out of her "Domestic Violence Victim Role Model Tour" she became a drug addled, oversexed caricature who says things like, "I don't like good guys, they don't look like they'll hurt me."
And to paraphrase, "It's not my responsibility to be a role model." And she hasn't received any real backlash for dating Brown AGAIN. He just wants to live his life. He's not out here doing anything other nikkas his age aren't doing. He gets tattoos, does drugs, gets mad, so fukking what? He beat up a woman five years ago. Who cares, women get beat up everyday. If he beat up some Whoopie Goldberg looking creature no one would utter a word. And let's not forget the Sean Penn hostage situation and Charlie Sheen shooting his wife

Society does pick and choose who they give a "pass", that is true. There has to be a reason why Tyler the Creator can have songs talking about fakkits and rape, and not really get that much backlash, while Rick Ross has one line about date rape and gets dropped by Reebok. And its not like Tyler is an unknown either, white hipsters and the internet are pushing him hard and he even has his own tv show.
They don't even play the Ross verse of UNENO anymore. Just the wack ass Wiz Khalifa version.
