I gotta agree with @The God Poster . I been jamming Trey Songz' hits for the last month or so (I hadn't paid much attention to his music since maybe his 2nd album when he still had braids).

Straight-up, Trey consistently puts out better music than Chris. Chris definitely needs better direction in his music.

Absolutely not, his last album before Trigga was :trash:

Ahhh man, did homedude just say Trey Songstress from 09 to present >>>> same time frame Chris Brown?

Wow. Chris is a much better song writer, more dynamic artist (he has the somber, melancholy, introspective ballads to ratchet club bangers that smash from our way to the milky way... even male empowering anthems about infidel ex girlfriends and being resilient after giving somebody his entire world.

Trey Songs is a single trick pony and more one dimensional than Steve Novak.

We can even go track to track, feature to feature, remix to remix, album to album and i'll exemplify how Chris's talents and overall song quality trump Triggers.

As a matter of fact, let's start with the remix to I Luv This shyt.

Listen to Trey Songz' simple ass verse. It's about the raunchiest shiit on the planet, has no redeeming vocal quality.

Now assess Chris Brown. Not only does he play with the melody a bit, changes up the vocal tone/arrangement... HE EVEN ADDS A FUKKIN' BRIDGE WITHIN HIS VERSE.

We comparing apples to kumquats right now.

Trey on this video vanguard acceptance day (if he ever reaches that plateau) couldn't come close Chris on his most basic day playing video games or tagging up the wall of his house with pop art.

And this song alone >>>> Trey's entire career.

Trey has better lyrics...something Chris doesn't.

Trey just doesn't do the stupid antics and has a legit team around him trying to elevate his craft beyond just spitting the first thing in the booth

You see, this is exactly why i prefer chris brown. His story is much more intriguing. Chris has had so many bumps in the road and adversity... it shows us how human he is and its something most of us can identify with because ain't NONE of us perfect. The flaws in CB's character make him seem more personable and thus, the music plays more genuinely for me (unlike Trey's manufactured personae and clean record... that's straight android robot status... dude almost has ZERO personality and it emanates through his music).

As far as better lyrics... if we can demonstrate how that is such; i'm all ears.

But until Trey is delivering tunes/appearances on tracks like these... Chris will be neck/neck with The Dream as best R&B act in the last decade.

(2012 is a great conceptual track about romancing for the last time, with the last person before a hypothetical apocalypse commences).

Man, these songs are just fukkin' beautiful.

"Slow Motion" is better than any of the 4 singles that Chris has put out this year ("Ago", "bytches N Marijuana", "Liquor", & "Zero")

I don't know if you've run into these tracks... but i was bumping Fan of A Fan 2 and was thinking, "Why the fukk hasn't chris fukked with Drumma more often on a collaborative level?"

Cuz that drumma track on their is pure flames. I love it when Drumma uses the drums and snares/kicks from 07-2012 (before the trap sound just really took over and he began doing it full time because nobody was buying the signature Drum squad beats from him, unfortunately).

Then i ran into these gems... unreleased CB/DrumSquad gems. Personally never heard these before this past weekend...

Gawt damn these could have been made into a legit EP. Their album quality tracks.

When these two get together... its classic material.
