The modern youth are numb, emotionally speaking and thus what we class as vulgar ignorance is just at their baseline. Same way it was back in 93 when the game went hardcore and we all dug it whilst old heads shook their heads in disgust at the new fangled vulgar ignorance.

It would be very interesting to see what would happen if CB dropped something like this:

As his core fanbase wouldn't be able to get jiggy with it and those who would enjoy it wouldn't be checking for it anyway plus radio isn't spinning him so he needs an undeniable smash across the demographs to force them to listen. He's in a bit of strange space, artistically speaking, as I'd say he's capable of a lot more but isn't showing true growth. Same with the Weekn'd but you can tell he actually wants to switch the style up, even if it means losing fans, but then its offset by living expenses, stature, only being as good as your last hit and industry politics.

I had a great idea about how Weekn'd could make that shift in a way that pleases everyone:

He should make a concept album called "Caine and Abel" where he sings in different vocal styles as an ensemble cast on the tracks. Title song would be his personal struggle with white lines as one side tries to seduce him into getting another bag and the other side tries to pull away because its distracting him from getting the bigger, better bag exemplified by the correct use of his talent instead of escaping into drugs. One feature only - Pusha T as the dealer.

I can already see the visuals, the song titles, the concepts of rise, fall, rise and how that would give him the artistic respect he desperately craves beyond gimmicks like changing his name because it has to be real, come from within and have palpable substance. And thats something only I can make happen because you can bite the outline but I see the full vision and without me there'll always be something missing so don't even think of sharking without allowing me to wet my beak...

I should clarify that, for how massive the hit is , its clearly the biggest song being played in the world right now, that some major radio stations seem to be attempting to avoid the song due to who is behind the song. Which is preventing him from the most obvious #1 on billboard charts we've seen in years. Is that better ?

Only problem with that theory is that those same stations didn’t have a problem with playing Go Crazy in spite of CB’s issues so why would they have a problem with this one? That one didn’t have the viral aspect of it that Under the Influence does.
