I don't blame him, black identity has been intertwined with the streets for a long time now, a lot of kids feel like if they don't adhere to the mindset of the streets that they are invalidated as a person. Kendrick grew up around it, and dabbled in bullshyt to be down (GKMC) but grew up and is trying to move past it (TPAB). Chris spent his entire adolescence and adulthood rich and is banging for image and false security. Pretty different.
