GTA Online Looks Set To Provide Double The Carnage We Previously Thought

Reports are suggesting that GTA Online’s multiplayer mode is set to get a boost from the promised 16 players up to 32, in time for next week’s launch.

According to the same data leak that provided information on potential PS4 and PC editions of GTA V, the online cap is to be doubled for the game’s free roam mode, and there are set to be some extra features for PC owners...

As we reported last week, leaked XML config files pointed to PS4 and PC versions of the best-selling game, but this was not all that was found in the code leak.

Up to 32 players can play in Freemode, where no team options are available; you can simply roam the city and cause your own brand of carnage. There is also a co-op mode that is exclusively made for two players, which may well tie into the story elements we talked about last week; including the fact that the game will include over 500 online missions to play through at launch.

Of top of that, there are the returning modes from GTA IV’s rudimentary online offering, including the obligatory Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes, as well as Races and a Cops and Crooks mode. I don’t know about you but the thought of 32 player races or cops and crooks sounds like it has some potential for mouth-watering chaos.

It’s unknown what versions will actually support the option for 32 players, it would certainly be unusual for Xbox 360 and PS3 to support that many simultaneous players, so it is very much up in the air at the moment.

In addition to this, an alternate weather condition has been found that isn’t present in the normal game. Blizzards are not found in the vanilla game, suggesting that the assets are of a higher grade than that used in this version of the game. This would appear to confirm that a PC version was the lead platform and it was subsequently down-ported to the consoles.

It's unknown what other extra features the PC version will include but we look forward to finding out, stay tuned to Game-Debate for all of the details.

The evidence is starting to mount up, when do you think GTA V will launch on PC?

Do you think the aging consoles would be able to handle 32-player multiplayer?

Let us know your predictions below!

Look at these playstanleys y'all, you got one guy who can't figure out how to do basic math averages, and another who doesn't know the difference between cloud computing and dedicated servers. No wonder Playstanleys do nothing but embarrass themselves all day in posts :mindblown:

This is what I deal with everyday

It wasn't long ago the mathematician didn't know what a dedicated server did either :mjpls:

I calculate the level of fury from playstanleys by a unique combination of how fast one of them one-starred the thread, and how many struggle smilies are posted within the first 10 minutes of a thread being made

Safe to say they're furious about this :russ: @PS4 @MeachTheMonster @Rico @Loose @daze23 @Smooth3d
Oh yes, so furious about this flop of a thread

would you care to answer the question since young Paul Stanley jr. proved he was incapable? :lupe:

I know one of you will come up with the answer if you work as a team

You wanna respond to the Xbox one crashing article I posted in the other thread YESTERDAY that you claimed there was no proof of Xbox fukking up?
