What’s the confusion? Unvaccinated people like me have accepted the risk and aren’t worried about covid. If anyone has covid and is unvaccinated, we’ve accepted any possible outcome. If the vaccine results are as good as advertised, which I don’t doubt, vaccinated people have very very little to worry about coming in contact with a carrier. Vaccinated people can carry and spread as well. Time to leave it up to the players and let them decide, just like any other spreadable virus. Every adult that wanted the vaccine has probably taken it, or is avoiding large crowds until they do. I’m sure people in the stands probably have it as well.

It's not about your choice. The people you come in contact with aren't choosing to get Covid.

He could have gotten it from a vaccinated person though.

Every adult had the opportunity to get vaccinated right? We accepted the risk, just like folks accept the risk of the vaccine. Fans in the stands have it too so what’s really going on here.

Hey, doesn't matter whether your car has turn signals or brake lights. Should be up to you whether you drive it or not, just like any other car problem.
You came up with an even stupider example. I'm dumbfounded.

Anyone unvaxed at this point has chosen to take the risk.

Anyone vaxed should have nothing to worry about according to the science.

so what’s the issue? The NBA job isn’t to police the health of everyone in the world. It’s to get the games and players on the court. If CP3 is vaxed and healthy/asymptomatic enough to play there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be on the court for game 1

Is everyone on the team vaxxed? Are all the coaches and trainers? Are all the people they come in contact with during their travels?

You're basically saying entertainment is more important than safety and containment.

Anyone who tests positive is supposed to quarantine not be running around.

Whose problem is that? Once again. It's not the NBA's job to police the health and safety of the entire world. If Billy the equipment manager isn't vaxed as of june 2021, then that's a choice he willingly made at this point because the country is fully re-opened. You can go sit inches away from someone without a mask at a sporting event, or walk into any grocery store shoulder to shoulder w/ ppl in the aisles without a mask. And no one who knows who has what disease because nobody is getting tested for the Covid shyt anymore, so all these vaxed ppl could be spreading it back n forth to each other and no one knows because there's no testing going on.

So if the country is open, the NBA and any other sport need to move on with this BS. If Billy isn't vaxed and someone who might come in contact with him is positive, then you need to go to him and say ay bruh, we have a COVID positive - since you ain't vaxed you need to stay away for X amount of days.

If you decide to race 90 mph past a crosswalk filled with school kids, then you are not just risking yourself.
